Company Sponsored Visa

The company sponsored visa program enables Australian companies to sponsor overseas workers to fulfill specific skill requirements. 

Overview / Requirements: 

There are two specific visa types: Temporary and Permanent.

Visa Options:

Temporary Sponsorship Visa:

A number of temporary sponsorship visas exist (See Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship website for complete list- http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/visa-temporary.htm)

A temporary visa enables an Australian company to sponsor a skilled migrant to perform specific duties for a limited period of time.

Permanent Visas:

There are four major sponsored permanent visa types:

1. Employer Nomination Scheme: Employers can recruit migrants for highly skilled positions
2. Regional Located Migration Scheme:  Companies in rural areas can recruit migrants for positions which cannot be filled by the local market.
3. Labour Agreements: Formal arrangements for specific labour groups to be granted authority to recruit a certain number of skilled migrants over a period of time.
4. Off-shore skills investment: Key decision makers in overseas firms can invest in Australia’s skills shortages.
